Receiving Customer Calls

In addition to the previous post, my company implemented our own custom on hold message and have had a positive response from callers. Our phone service runs smoother and clients are happier when they don’t have to wait in silence. In fact, it answers many questions about our company and we’ve had an increase in sales because of it.

Backed Up

According to recent studies, data loss in businesses totals about $18 billion per year. If that doesn’t startle you, maybe the fact that one in ten hard drives fails each year will get you and your business to think about implementing a backup solution. To backup your files you have four options.  First, you can back up all your files on CDs or other removable media.  Second, you can back up your files on an extra hard drive.  Third, you can back up your files on a network.  Fourth, you can use remote backup, such as free internet back up.  Whichever method you employ, be sure to do it before you lose any data.  Although it is a necessary, albeit boring task, backup can save you time and money that may otherwise have to be spent on retrieving lost files.

eRecording

If you and your company (e.g. title companies, lenders, attorneys, etc.) regularly submit documents for deed filing, consider using an eRecording program to do so, if you are not already.

Electronically submitting documents not only saves time (the documents are sent online), but it can save money too.  Traditionally, documents are sent either through postal mail or courier services, both which can be costly. 

The documents are also more secure with eRecording; you eliminate the need for a middle man transport.  The documents are sent directly from you to the county office.
